Description
This is a passive autofire circuit by Immortal Joysticks. It is the same kind used in their joysticks and is now being offered as a stand alone add on.
Being a passive autofire, you do not need to supply a 5v power line to it like you do for many other autofire circuits on the market. Simply connect the CN1 pins on the PCB to the button you wish to have autofire on. Connect the CN2 pins to an on/off switch. And away you go. A wiring diagram will be supplied with the PCB and will be uploaded as a PDF here soon.
The autofire rate has been set to be as fast as possible without registering a long button press. This was specifically designed for retro gaming systems such as the Amiga and Sega Master System, so we can’t guarantee that the rate will work with all systems. It is possible to change the fire rate by changing the value of a resistor on the PCB. You can even add a variable rate control by removing JP1 and adding a potentiometer to CN3. Full details of this will be included on the wiring diagram.
This could be custom built into an arcade cab, fightstick or other joystick project.
They will be compatible with any type of button.
