That image of a Japanese arcade, packed with candy cabs featuring their colourful buttons and balltop joysticks is one of the coolest sights and is what attracts many people into the hobby.

Sanwa is a key part of this image. They are ‘the’ standard in Japanese arcade hardware and their products are among our best selling items.

We deal directly with Sanwa’s sole distributer in Japan and have regular shipments to ensure that we keep our stock levels up and continue to expand the range that we offer.

Another classic Japanese brand that we offer is Seimitsu. Their buttons and balltop handles have a visual appeal that we think stands above many of the others.

The joystick levers are durable, responsive and of the super high quality that you would expect from any Japanese product.

When we think back to the arcades we frequented in the UK back in the 80’s and 90’s, we probably mostly remember Happ style joysticks with battop handles and concave top buttons.

These joysticks were manufactured by Industrias Lorenzo on behalf of Happ. When Happ merged with Suzo (becoming SuzoHapp) and moved their production to China, Industrias Lorenzo kept producing the same top quality components and distributed them under their own brand.

And that is what we supply today! Direct from Industrias Lorenzo in Barcelona, Spain, we stock buttons and joysticks and can supply a range of other arcade parts to order if required.

Fightsticks

The fightstick community is very much aligned with the arcade community and use many of the same components. However, there are a few brands and parts that set them apart.

Fightsticks are often built to competition standards and require the most responsive and tight controls to ensure that the player can perform at their best during E-sports tournaments.

Korean levers from companies like Crown/Samducksa have become a huge part of this. Utilising highly sensitive microswitches and rubber grommets in place of traditional springs significantly improves the feel and accuracy of the lever.

Also, fightsticks are often being packed up and moved around to and from tournaments etc. The Link EX Groove from Phreakmods makes this a breeze. Detach the shaft to keep your fightstick safe and easy to slip into a backpack.
